Will Love in Spring

Some people return home carrying memories they never truly escaped. Chen Mai Dong and Zhuang Jie are two such people. They knew each other in high school, but life pushed them in very different directions. Mai Dong once had a rebellious personality. After facing a painful loss, he became a funeral makeup artist and grew much quieter. Jie left their hometown after a traffic accident left her disabled. She refused to give up on herself and built a career as a successful medical salesperson in Shanghai. Years later, she returns home and finds Mai Dong still there.
Their reunion is not as warm as Jie expects. Mai Dong keeps his distance, while Jie tries to understand his sudden change. She still remembers the boy who encouraged her during one of the hardest periods of her life. Now, he seems guarded and difficult to read. Their old connection slowly returns as they spend more time together. Jie begins to notice the sadness behind his calm attitude. Mai Dong, in turn, sees how much effort Jie has made to live independently. Neither of them talks openly about their deepest fears, but their feelings become harder to hide.
Jie finds it hard to trust love and depend on another person. Mai Dong also has his own past to deal with, and those old memories keep him from opening up easily. As they spend more time together, their families and friends start getting involved too. Some understand and support them, while others put extra pressure on their relationship. Will Love in Spring is more about the small, emotional moments than huge twists or dramatic surprises. Jie and Mai Dong slowly get to know each other and figure out what they really want. Their relationship doesn’t change everything about them overnight. They grow closer, little by little, and start to see things differently. In the end, they learn that no matter how difficult the past was, it doesn’t have to control the rest of their lives.
