While You Were Sleeping

Nam Hong-joo has been dreaming of accidents and tragic events that could happen in the future since she was a child. Despite working as a field reporter, her biggest problem is that she can’t always stop the events she sees in her dreams before they come true. Her life becomes even stranger when her neighbor Jung Jae-chan, a rookie prosecutor, begins to gain the same ability to see the future.

After saving Hong-joo and young police officer Han Woo-tak from a dangerous incident, Jae-chan realizes that the three of their lives are somehow connected. They then try to prevent future crimes and dangers by combining their dreams. But their ability to see the future becomes a blessing as well as a huge responsibility.

Their biggest obstacle is Lee Yoo-beom, a cunning and selfish lawyer who doesn’t hesitate to hide the truth and use the law to his advantage. As they investigate one case after another, Hong-joo, Jae-chan, and Woo-tak come face to face with his conspiracy and realize that their dreams are deeply connected to some important events in the past.

The story moves forward around the question of how difficult it is to change the future even if it is known in advance. While You Were Sleeping combines love, friendship, crime investigation, and courtroom battles with supernatural mystery—even if fate indicates danger, a decision made at the right time may change that future.
