Tempest

A single gunshot pulls former diplomat Seo Munju into a dangerous political mystery. She returns to South Korea to support presidential candidate Jang Jun-Ik. During a peace event, a shooter suddenly attacks him. The attack leaves Jun-Ik dead and raises questions about who ordered it. Munju refuses to accept the official story. She decides to enter the presidential race and find the truth herself. Soon, she becomes a target too. Baek Sanho, a mysterious former soldier, saves her during another attack. Munju hires him as her bodyguard, though she knows little about him.
Sanho stays close while Munju follows clues behind the shooting. Their search uncovers secret files, hidden deals, and suspicious government ties. Munju learns that the attack is tied to a much larger plan. Several countries and powerful groups are connected to the conspiracy. Sanho also keeps parts of his past hidden from her. This makes Munju question whether she can fully trust him. Even so, the two grow closer as they escape repeated threats. Their feelings become harder to ignore as the danger around them grows. They race to expose those behind the plot and stop the push toward war. Sanho’s combat skills become vital during their final struggle. Munju also uses her political position to bring the truth to light. Their last moves put both their lives at serious risk. Together, they confront the people pulling the strings behind the scenes.
