In the story of Flex X Cop 2, Jin Yi-soo continues to work as a detective in Gangha Police Station’s Violent Crimes Unit 1. Using his vast wealth, influential connections, and unconventional methods, he repeatedly makes the impossible possible in investigating difficult crimes.

But now, his team is joined by a new team leader, Joo Hye-ra, who previously trained Jin Yi-soo rigorously at the Police Academy. Yi-soo is quite uncomfortable with having the fearsome instructor from the past as his boss, and the two’s different investigative styles create a funny but intense conflict.

The scope of the investigation also expands in Season 2. The team is seen conducting operations abroad, where Yi-soo uses every advantage of his wealth—from private jets to disguises—as a crime-solving weapon. But when someone starts targeting Jin Yi-soo directly in one unusual and dangerous case after another, his detective life becomes more precarious than ever.

Ahn Bo-hyun returns as Jin Yi-soo, and Jung Eun-chae joins as new team leader Joo Hye-ra. Kang Sang-jun and Kim Shin-bi also return as previous team members. The drama is written by Kim Ba-da and directed by Kim Jae-hong; it premiered on SBS on August 7, 2026.
