Plot
A new beginning brings new cases, new competitors and new dilemmas for divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung. After leaving Daejeong Law Firm, she founded Rebom, a firm built around divorce clients. As managing partner, she wants to create a firm in line with her own values. She’s a very good lawyer, with the speed and sharpness to make decisions quickly. The challenge of running a new firm is building a team you can trust. You need a partner who can handle difficult clients and difficult cases.
That partner is Kang Hye Sung, a fifth year lawyer with a very good record. She’s done both civil and criminal work with real determination. She’s quite the opposite of Eun Kyung in that she brings a real personal commitment to divorce work. Their styles are very different, which creates tension but also gives them both the opportunity to learn. Jeon Eun Ho joins Eun Kyung at Rebom after leaving Daejeong. He tends to defuse her blunter remarks and keep the office going. As Hye Sung considers her next move, both firms are trying to persuade her to join.
Across the corridor is Park Tae Soo, who runs Taesu Law Firm and is after the same clients. He was Eun Kyung’s uni classmate, though the relationship between them is far from comfortable. He respects her ability, but wants to be better than her. The competition between them intensifies as both firms vie for Hye Sung. At Rebom, the lawyers are taking on the more complex divorce cases. Each case is a case of private pain, difficult decisions and questions of justice. Eun Kyung and Hye Sung have to learn when to go head to head and when to stand side by side. Good Partner 2 charts their evolving partnership through the legal battles and the lives they are in.
