Love for You

Chen Yi and Miao Jing meet as teenagers in a small town in the 1990s. Their parents know each other, but Chen Yi dislikes Miao Jing at first. After he gets hurt, her kindness slowly changes his view. Then life turns harsh for both of them. Chen Yi loses his father, while Miao Jing’s mother disappears. Their parents never become a family, so the two depend on each other. At school, Miao Jing grows close to Chen Yi. She later admits that she loves him. Before he can answer, a fire changes everything.
Chen Yi becomes a key witness in the arson case. He knows the people behind it may target Miao Jing. To keep her safe, he pushes her away. He even makes her leave Tengcheng and helps police find the suspect. Years pass before their paths cross again. Chen Yi now owns a billiard hall in town. Miao Jing returns as an auditor for Good Luck Logistics. She is surprised to see Chen Yi again, but he stays distant. He also distrusts the company owner, Zhang Bin, because of the old case.
Soon, Miao Jing’s work brings her close to Zhang Bin’s crimes. Chen Yi suspects the company is hiding a smuggling operation. He tries to warn her, but Miao Jing refuses to step back. When the danger grows, Chen Yi decides to protect her himself. They begin working with the police to gather proof against Zhang Bin. Their investigation puts both of them in danger. Chen Yi is badly injured during the final confrontation. After Zhang Bin and his partners face justice, Chen Yi admits his feelings. Miao Jing finally learns why he left years ago. The two choose each other and become a couple.
