Zhu Yun is excited to join the university, but Li Xun has other plans. He is a bright and confident programmer who is often harsh to the people around him. Zhu Yun didn’t like his attitude at first, especially since he didn’t follow the regulations of the school. Their paths continue to cross in the university’s programming team. Li Xun recognized Zhu Yun’s abilities and asked her to join his organization. They team up for a major programming competition and gradually get close. Their families and personalities are completely different, but they fall in love. Li Xun also aids in protecting Zhu Yun when Fang Zhijing raises difficulties. While their team wins the competition, their difficulties don’t leave them just because they’re successful.
Their relationship suffers after a painful incident changes everything. Li Xun pushes Zhu Yun away and refuses to explain what he is going through. He later ends up in prison, while Zhu Yun leaves China to continue her studies. During his time away, Gao Jianhong takes control of their company, L&P, after a serious betrayal. Three years later, Zhu Yun returns and unexpectedly meets Li Xun shortly after his release. He is no longer the young man she remembers. She still carries anger and hurt, while Li Xun keeps his feelings hidden behind a cold attitude. They eventually begin working together again, determined to recover what was taken from them.
As they rebuild their work, old conflicts come back with them. Li Xun must face Gao Jianhong and the people who helped destroy his company. Zhu Yun stays beside him despite the risks and pressure. The truth behind Li Xun’s past choices also becomes clearer. Their work leads to a final confrontation with the people responsible for their losses. Gao Jianhong eventually accepts his mistakes and agrees to surgery after speaking with Li Xun. Li Xun then gives up control of the company and lets the team become shareholders. After everything they have survived, he and Zhu Yun finally choose each other again. They register their marriage and begin a quieter life together, ending their long journey on a hopeful note.
